It was a ride of a week/end but we arrived thanks to God's grace and mercy! We all got sick, the pregnant lady got started first. The Little Prince was fighting the symptoms of a virus before any of this started but we thought he was on the mend. I actually think he had a combination of several different childhood things going (the little but, teething, etc). After my husband and I were over with our symptoms, the baby was not acting like himself. We took him to the pediatrician and come to find out he had an ear infection.
The crazy thing about being a first time parent is that you don't really know what to look for or what to expect when it comes to common infant issues such as this but we are getting plenty on the job training.
LP is doing much better and we do appreciate your prayers for a speedy recovery. I am also praying that this will be our last encounter with that vicious virus a.k.a. 'stomach bug.'
When I was recovering, I walked by a mirror and looked at how crazy my hair looked and I thought 'I look just like the bug!' LOL! It was actually funny.
We had other health challenges with our extended family that week but everyone seems to be doing better.
A very happy and sweet thing that happened to us was an OBGYN visit in the midst of all of those things. My 24-hour urine exam came back normal, all blood work was normal, thank God. Little Baby is doing great, I heard the heart beat and I am thankful that LB is sheltered from all those symptoms that came and went. An exciting thing that happened to us was that we get to go for an anatomy ultrasound sooner than I expected! Of course we'll post it here so you will know what LB's gender is.
That's all for now. I appreciate prayers for healing and prayers for joy. The joy of the Lord is my strength and this is exactly what I need from day to day. Much love!
