This was a line from one of the songs we’ve sang tons of times at church. This past Sunday it took a different meaning to me. My husband said “point at yourself and say ‘I can start again’”. When we sang that line it just touched me because motherhood is a new start for all of us and with God’s help we can start again (weight management and all). I found two interesting verses about starting again:
Your beginnings will seem humble, so prosperous will your future be. Job 8:7
Starting is never fashionable, cool or fantastic in any way. People usually notice you when you are at the end of something successful. Not that many people notice you when you lose 4 pounds but they do when you lose 40. No one notices when you start a running program but many see you crossing the finish line of a race. Keep pressing on always, no matter who is watching. With God all things are possible.
The end of a matter is better than its beginning, and patience is better than pride. Ecclesiastes 7:8
I like this verse. I have to remember it and soak til I get through my new beginning. The end will be better than the beginning and being patient is better than being prideful.
Last weekend we chilled. Monday I was hoping to chill some more but my awesome husband was in the rearranging mood. I tried to discourage him (I know, that sounds crazy) but he pressed on and now my dinning room looks great! The baby’s room has less unnecessary furniture in it and we changed a few other rooms. A few changes made my house look so different! I love my husband. I shouldn’t stop him from changing things around, especially when he does most of the moving and changing things (huge smile). We also had a great weekend in a way where we have our menu for the whole week ready, the laundry is done and put away and I already selected everything I’m wearing this week so I don’t have to think about it (I love that tough I don’t do it often. One day when I have a stylist I’ll do it often).
Baby is doing great. We get to ‘see’ him tomorrow, we have another cool ultrasound. We are so excited about that! The number one question I’m getting is: ‘are you ready to have this baby?’ I surprise people when I say ‘no’. My baby is not ready to be born (lungs still developing, etc) and neither am I. We still have a few things to do before he arrives. I’m praying that he will be born when it’s time, after he’s fully developed in the womb. I believe there is power of life and death in your tongue so I need to speak the right things. These two weeks are pretty busy so I might not be posting often. Pray for me!
