Many people start a diet on Monday. If you are already in one, maybe you need a new chance. I believe that each day offers you a new chance to improve, to do better. I try not to single out weekends as the worse days for weight loss plan. If you have a bad Wednesday it can be as damaging but thank God for another day. Just to give you an update, the dinner with friends was awesome. I did splurge a little on chocolate covered strawberries. I rested, I got my whole house clean and I got organized for this week.
Now that Monday is here, it’s time to start over. I gave a lot of thought on my weight management this weekend as well. I’m please with the way things are. I’m excited about the time it took to lose the weight and I’m encouraged to press on and get it finished.
This week I want:
{1} To burn at least 2,000 calories (training for 5K, walking, getting back to the elliptical, weight training, etc).
{2} To get protein and dairy daily in my diet (they are my weak points, so I need to remain accountable on this one)
{3} Focus on behavior change, not on the numbers on the scale. My challenge is not to weigh myself for the next 3 weeks, totally focus on behavior that way. That’s huge! * I'll be sure NOT to follow the example of Charlene:

{4} Make Saturdays my treat days. Look for FREE ways to treat myself. Sometimes sitting with a great book and taking a nap can be a treat to someone as busy as me.
So, now that’s out there, I’m accountable.
I got a lot of compliments at church for losing weight from people who either never really spoke to me or when we talk we never talk about weight management (I’m trying to say that I felt like these people were foreal). I appreciate compliments but if I never get them, I’m okay with them. When it comes to compliments I’ve been doing the following: giving God the glory because He’s been my guide, my source and a very present help in time of need; If I’m asked what I’m doing, I tell them that God healed me from my low self esteem first and then He directed me to get exercise and nutrition help. I have to give glory to God because I didn’t do all of this by my own strength. I’m not gonna get the end of this week by my own efforts but I know I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me. I know a lot of people do say that you need to be recognized as a person but my experience has been that I boast in God and in all that He’s done for me. I’ve tried a lot of diets and solutions out there and I have finally found myself in Christ. To God be the glory for the things He has done! Have an awesome week through Christ!
