What a cool weekend we had! Yes, the house is still under construction, but we cleaned up what we could and had a fabulous weekend. When I can get my hair done, a manicure and a pedicure in the same weekend after I clean my house, that's a great weekend to me because I do it all myself :)
Friday: We went home early. We had a busy week! I had spinach dip and crackers for dinner. I thought that was a pretty healthy snack. I didn't go to Body Blasters class but I got a lot of walking done. Spending time with family was more important than making to the class!
Saturday: I cleaned my house (have I told you we're remodeling?) and that was a great workout. I was so exited because when I got to the grocery store at 8 a.m. I was greated with a rose and a coupon for a free gallon of milk!!! They were having their remodeling celebration so it was a giveaway day. They had managers from other stores in our local store training the employees, which meant I was well treated. That was the best treatment I received in a grocery store EVER. I'm still impressed because people usually can care less for the custumer in this particular store. This change was great and I pray the good attitude lasts. Oh yeah, I got some skim milk of course! I cleaned the house and did not venture in baking or cooking anything. I actually ate homemade popcorn for dinner, baby carrots with peanut butter and brocolis salad. I know, when I'm by myself I eat ramdom things that need not to be cooked :)
Sunday: is my favorite day of the week because I get to worship God in my local church! After the services my woderful husband took me to a vegetarian restaurant I'd been dreaming about going to. It was simply awesome! I had the vegan peach pancakes with granola, he had the vegan omellete with a salad, potatoes and vegan chocolate peanut butter cake. I was surprised my hubby would get everything vegan but he did and he enjoyed it. Notice that he's still not a professing vegetarian but he's tried everything he possibly could while we've been in this journey of health. The photo on this page is of me resting in the mall. I had been walking for hours and having fun. Does that count as exercise?
